The best way to use SENTRY reporting is to evaluate each metric according to what it measures and focus on trends over time. Metrics may not reconcile one-to-one because they represent different stages of the call journey and may rely on different data sources.
The reports are best used to identify trends and patterns rather than exact accounting.
Customers should view it as a performance and protection measurement tool that helps answer questions such as:
- Are we authenticating calls?
- Are spoofed calls being blocked?
- Is our protection improving over time?
- Are there changes in spoofing activity that require attention?
Example: If blocked calls increase from 1,000 to 2,000, that tells you spoofing activity is rising. The trend is the important insight—not whether every metric reconciles perfectly.
