What can I do to reduce the likelihood of my number being tagged?

If you are making legitimate business calls, following Call Behavior Best Practices can help reduce the likelihood of your calls being tagged:

    1. Register Your Business and Phone Numbers
Registering your numbers helps carriers understand who you are and the purpose of your calls. Registering with First Orion enables registration with T-Mobile and AT&T (T-Mobile registration also applies to Boost)

    2. Review Calling Patterns Regularly
Monitor activity at the individual phone number level. Pay close attention to:

    • Number of attempts per recipient per day
    • Multiple calls within short timeframes
    • Sudden spikes in call volume
    • Calls placed outside standard business hours (Telephone Consumer Protection Act guidelines: 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. in the recipient’s local time)

    3. Avoid Rotating Phone Numbers
Frequently changing or reactivating long-dormant numbers can appear suspicious to carrier analytics.

    4. Monitor Consumer Feedback
Review complaints associated with your numbers and adjust your outreach strategy accordingly.
