PROTECT+ Risk Detection Common Terms

    API Requests

    The number of API requests sent with outbound calls.

    API Requests by Source IP

    The origin of the IP address of the device or network from where the packet of data originates.

    Call Category

    The calling purpose of a business phone number designated during the Business Registration process.  Call Categories include:

    • Charity
    • Customer Service
    • Debt Collection
    • Informational
    • No category
    • Political
    • Prison
    • Survey
    • Telemarketing

    High Risk

    An inbound caller that shows strong indicators of fraudulent or malicious behavior, linked to known scams, spoofing, or abuse.

    Legitimate calls

    A call that has passed the call authentication process. The calling party has been authenticated and is approved to make the call to the called party during a specific timeframe.

    Low Risk

    Inbound caller that shows minimal indicators of fraudulent, malicious, or nuisance behavior.

    Medium Risk

    Inbound caller that shows some indicators of suspicious behavior such as unusual calling patterns, exhibiting spam-like behavior, or possibly unverified information.

    Response Time

    The percentage of requests that First Orion responded to was within 50ms or less.

    Risk Detection

    The process of analyzing incoming calling data to identify the likelihood of scam or spam calls.

    Total API Requests

    The number of API requests sent to First Orion to be analyzed for risk detection.
