No, PROTECT+ itself does not block calls. Call treatment actions are configured by your organization and are based on your calling platform’s capabilities. PROTECT+ provides the risk of intelligence needed to support those decisions.
PROTECT+ Risk Detection provides an “Advice-of-Risk” response that classifies an inbound call as High, Medium, or Low Risk and returns category information when available. Mapping of the incoming call and its risk level would need to be configured to the calling platform to determine the treatment of the call (i.e. Label, Forward, Block).
Your business can develop customized policies and procedures to determine how risky calls should be treated by your calling platform. Call treatment options can include:
- Warning or alert prompt with risk level
- Labeling of call purpose/category
- Terminating the call to prevent it from reaching an agent
NOTE: Options for call treatment vary and are based on the available features of your calling platform.
