    What is Business Number ID? 

    Business Number ID is a solution designed for T-Mobile for Business customers, which allows them to place calls with one T-Mobile device while displaying a different number. Using Business Number ID, businesses can make calls from their personal cell phones or other devices, and the recipient will see the business number instead. 

    What is business registration? 

    Business registration informs carriers that your business is legitimate and making authorized calls. When you register your business, First Orion verifies your legitimacy as part of the process. 

    Why do I have to register my business? 

    Business registration confirms the legitimacy of your business and other businesses using First Orion solutions. Registration builds trust across the calling ecosystem and helps prevent bad actors from gaining access to these services. 

    I have an issue with my business registration, who do I reach out to? 

    To complete business registration for Business Number ID, your business

    1. must be a T-Mobile for business customer
    2. cannot be a sole proprietorship
    3. must have a valid registered EIN

    What should I do if my phone number is rejected when adding into the portal? 

    If your phone number is rejected, please ensure the phone number is

    • a T-Mobile for Business number
    • the correct number
    • still actively one of your numbers

    How do I set up numbers for the BNID solution?  

    Setting up numbers for Business Number ID is as simple as creating a Preferred Display Number and assigning Calling Numbers to it.

    • Preferred Display Numbers are the numbers that will show to the called party once they receive the call from the business.
    • Assigned Calling Numbers are the numbers that will originate calls on behalf of the business.
