INFORM with Logo FAQs

    What is INFORM with Logo?

INFORM with Logo is an in-network delivered feature of INFORM Branded Display, which displays the caller’s name, logo, and call reason on called devices capable of receiving and displaying Rich Call Data(RCD) messages. While the user experience differs across device types, capable devices will all show a graphic logo with First Orion's first-in-class End-to-end Call Authentication.

    What is RCD?

Rich Call Data (RCD) is information provided by the call originator to identify themselves to the call recipient. In other words, it’s a way for companies or organizations to generate calls that send an abundant amount of information to a consumer’s phone so that the person recognizes the caller. This information could be a combination of the company/organization name, logo, and corporate colors. It could also include the reason for calling.

What carrier networks will my Logo show on?

AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon supports logo on RCD capable devices for successfully authenticated calls.

    AT&T

Allow First Orion up to 5 to 7 business days to provision logos for AT&T distribution once loaded in the Customer Portal.

    T-Mobile

Once an image is approved and added to an Authenticated Inform program, calls terminating in the T-Mobile network will show logos immediately.

    Verizon

iOS devices within the Verizon network do not currently support logo.

    Additionally, please note that:

    • The Verizon Call Filter app must be installed and enabled in order for logo to be displayed
    • Verizon does not support call reason at this time.
    • Please allow First Orion up to 5 to 7 business days to successfully provision the logo for Verizon distribution once added to the Customer Portal.

Will my Logo show on Rogers Canada devices?

Logos loaded in the First Orion customer Portal are not currently supported on calls terminating in the Rogers network.

    What are the Logo requirements?

Logos must have a solid background, as transparent backgrounds are not supported. First Orion recommends logos with imagery rather than long brand names or slogans due to how logos are displayed on devices. Please note that cropping can occur on various devices and that file types and sizes vary among each carrier.

What type of vetting is used in the Logo approval process?

First Orion employs the use of image verification logic through advanced machine learning models and other means such as the USPTO Trademark Electronic Search System (TESS)to evaluate every image loaded into the First Orion Customer Portal to ensure the image is safe and legitimate. In order to maintain trust in the industry, logos must be found to be associated with the business submitting the image and may not contain references to SHAFT (Sex, Hate, Alcohol, Firearms, Tobacco). More information around image vetting can be found here.

Why is my Logo not showing up on iOS devices?

Check that the device is running iOS v16.0 or greater. For iOS v16 to v18, the device must be unlocked in order for logo to be displayed when an authenticated call is received. Additionally, iOS devices on the Verizon Network do not support logo.

Can I setup a program with a display name and call reason without a Logo?

Having a logo is a pre-requisite to have a call reason also included. First Orion does not support including a call reason without a logo, and including a call reason is completely optional. Also, keep in mind that the device must be an RCD enabled device in order to display both the logo and a reason for the call. Note that call reason is only supported on RCD capable Android devices.

    Why is my Logo rejected?

Logos that do not pass First Orion validation will be rejected. For additional information, contact a First Orion Support Agent.
