Manage Phone Numbers

    Overview

    Phone Numbers may be updated or deleted at any given time and at any given level, such as:

    • Business Level
    • Business Unit Level
    • Program Level

    View Phone Number Assignment

    1. Select Phone Numbers on the Main Navigation Panel.
    2. Click on the three (3) dots for the desired phone number.
    3. Click View Assignments.

    A pop-up will display the assignments for the selected phone number. For example:

    1. The selected phone number.
    2. The Business the phone number is associated with.
    3. The Business Unit the phone number is associated with.
    4. The Program the phone number is associated with.
    5. The Display Name the phone number is associated with.
    6. The Program Duration the phone number is associated with.
    7. Select Close when viewing is complete

    Edit a Phone Number

    Phone Number Dashboard

    You can view all phone numbers assigned to a Business or a Business Unit by selecting Phone Numbers from the left-hand navigation panel.

    Edit the Call Purpose of a Phone Number

    1. Select Phone Numbers on the left-hand main navigation panel.
    2. Click on the three (3) dots for the desired phone number.
    3. Click Edit.
    4. Click on the Call Purpose arrows to display the dropdown options.
    5. Select the new Call Purpose for that phone number.
    6. Click Save.

    Delete Phone Numbers

    Main Level Navigation

    From the Business or Business Unit Level Navigation Panel

    1. Click Phone Numbers on the Main Navigation Panel.
    2. Click Manage Phone Numbers.
    3. Click Delete Phone Numbers.

    Manage Menu

    1. Click Manage.
    2. Click Delete Phone Numbers.

    Remove a Single Phone Number

    1. Click Phone Numbers on the Main Navigation Panel.
    2. Click the three (3) dots for the dropdown menu. 
    3. Click Remove from the dropdown list.
    4. Click Remove on the warning message box.

    Manually Delete Phone Numbers

    Upon reaching the Delete Phone Numbers portal page, the default is Manual

    1. Confirm Manual is underlined with the blue line.
    2. Enter the phone number to be deleted. A green checkmark will confirm the number has been entered correctly.
    3. Click Add to Delete List
    4. Click Delete.
    5. Click Ok.

    A pop-up will display the deleted phone number or numbers under the Removed Numbers section, along with a total count. Any rejected numbers will be displayed, along with a total count and a reason for rejection, under the Rejected Numbers section.

    NOTE: You will receive an error message if any numbers are rejected. Double-check the number and call purpose. If you need assistance, please click on the Support button at the bottom of the page. Typically, a number will be rejected if it has been formatted incorrectly or if the number already exists elsewhere in the Customer Portal. 

    Batch CSV File Deletion

    Create a Template for Submission 

    A total of 500 numbers may be submitted via a single CSV file. Submit using the following guidelines:

    Template Requirements:

    • Two (2) columns only
    • No headers
    • Individual rows containing: 
      • A single number in Column One
      • The call purpose for that number in Column Two
    • Maximum of 500 numbers with call purpose

    Column 1: Phone Number only

    • A single phone number
    • No spaces
    • Formatted exactly as either:
      • E.164 format example: +15013334444
      • Area Code and Number example: 5013334444

    Column 2: Call Purpose for that Phone Number

    The following are valid options:

    • Charity
    • Customer Service
    • Debt Collection
    • Informational/Notification
    • Multi-Use Line
    • Political
    • Prison
    • Survey
    • Telemarketing
    • Do Not Originate

    WARNING: Do Not Originate should only be selected if the number will not make outbound calls.

    Fill in the Template with the phone numbers and their call purpose to submit for deletion.

    Upload the Completed Template

    There are two (2) options to upload the CSV file template into the Customer Portal:

    1. Drag and drop CSV or TXT file
    2. Choose from computer

    Drag & Drop

    1. Select the completed and saved template from Downloads in the File Explorer.
    2. Drag the file from the File Explore to the Customer Portal dropbox using your mouse.
    3. Drop the file into the Customer Portal box.

    Choose from Computer

    1. Click Choose from computer in the Customer Portal box.
    2. Select the completed template file in the File Explorer.
    3. Click Open at the bottom of the File Explorer.

    Complete Phone Number Deletion

    After uploading the numbers to be deleted, either via Drag and Drop or Choose from Computer, the Deleted Phone Numbers will display on the Customer Portal page along with a total count. 

    1. Confirm Total Phone Numbers to Delete is correct.
    2. Review uploaded phone numbers for deletion, if desired.
    3. Click Delete.
    4. Click Ok.

    A pop-up will display the deleted phone number or numbers under the Deleted Numbers section, along with a total count. Any rejected numbers will be displayed, along with a total count, under the Rejected Numbers section and a reason for rejection.
